The Dwelling was made in the space of a week, while in isolation from the COVID19 pandemic. We tried to make the most of the resources available and had an original score composed for us by Elias Juul Reichel (aka CornBread).
The goal was to create something unique and intriguing that incorporated surrealist elements. I was able to experiment with the editing style and VFX, all completed on my laptop from home. It was a great opportunity to stay productive and creative during the uncertainty of the COVID19 lockdown.
The film has been featured in publications such as Bricks Magazine and About This Studio. The film went on to win the award for Best Editing at the 2020 Quarantine International Film Festival as well as being nominated for Best Horror and Best Original Score. The film is continuing its festival run both in lockdown-specific and general film festivals.
